So this has been officially one of THE worst days (work related) of my life. Seriously. And then, I open my Facebook account and there it is: I am tagged on a post by a former student (cuz I am only friends with former students, and only a very selective bunch of them!

Let me explain: Carissa was in my J410 class a couple of years ago (Media as Social Institutions). An extreamly difficult class - for many reasons.
And of course, I teach Barthes' Mythologies and we read 'TOYS'.
And she remembered, and applied it to her real life.
Awwwww. This is what teaching and being in Academia is ALL about.
